Gem Car Dc To Dc Converter – 72V/12V, 30A

GEM Car DC to DC Converter. Powers the low voltage accessories of a GEM Car (lights, horn, wiper, etc).

The 12 volt output from the auxiliary board (a DC voltage to DC voltage converter) may become inoperative and result in a loss of headlamp, tail lamp and turn signal lamp function. Polaris sent out 2 recalls for this issue and updated cars with this DC to DC converter the final time: ‘Version 3’. This DC to DC converter is intended to be used with those cars fitted with the latest recall fix.

THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH GEM VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ORIGINAL SPS POTTED AUXILIARY BOARD OR SPS GREEN OPEN-FACED DC-DC CONVERTER UNIT.

Output Voltage:13.5V

Output Load:25A Continuous, 30A Intermittent. The converter has protection from under-voltage and over-voltage on the input. If the input is too high or too low the converter will shut off to protect itself. Under-voltage protection incorporates a delay so that momentary battery sags do not turn off the converter.

The operating temperature of the converter is constantly monitored. If the unit becomes too hot, it will shut off to protect itself.
